There should be no need to change the language identifier as Studio can handle this.  The problem is more likely to be related to the header.  Try exporting a TMX from Studio and compare the headers.  Then change the header you have accordingly... or share the TMX you have (just cut it down so we have a few segments only).

To successfully import your Google Translator Toolkit translation memories into Trados, ensure you correctly update the language identifiers in the .tmx file. Instead of manually editing the XML file with Notepad, use a tool like Olifant to check the language code changes and save the file properly. Double-check that the language codes are consistent and valid (e.g., replace en with en-US and zh-TW for Chinese Taiwan). Also, verify the file is correctly formatted before trying the import again in Trados.
