I think what you've shown is solving that issue for sure, now I have to get a bit deeper into this Uplift function option.

Just to clarify: upLift does work with AnyTM, but for upLift to provide fragment matches, your TM needs to have enough translation units and must be upgraded. Then, you need to enable fragment matching in your Project Settings (or Options, depending on whether you need to enable it for the current project or for all projects going forward).

Here's a screenshot showing fragment matches via upLift during interactive translation from a TM added as AnyTM.

Thank you so much for that. Actually, that comes as a surprise because I though that the info  regarding this on the sdl website was pretty clear.

So, I have just done what you pointed out, but still afterward could not activate the Uplift function. Actually the problem seems to be somehow that the compatibility with the fragment  alignment (translated roughly from Spanish) seems to be inactivated, for this TM at least.

Any idea?

My task tomorrow is to learn how to make screen shots!

1. How many translation units does your TM have? You can check this by going to Project Settings - All Language Pairs - Translation Memory and Automated Translation, then selecting your TM and clicking Settings:

The number of translation units is listed at the bottom of the dialog box that opens when you click on Settings. You will need a minimum of 1,000 translation units (TUs) for TU fragment matching to work.

2. If your TM has at least 1,000 TUs, has it been upgraded? If it hasn't, you will see an orange triangle next to the TM's name and you will need to click the Upgrade button:

The upgrade process needs to be completed before the TM can be used for TU fragment matching.

Extra note: upLift wasn't supported in AnyTM when it first came out, but this capability was added later on.

My TM has around 300 hundred translation units, as I started it not long ago. It seems that this could be exactly the problem and that I am going to have to carry on translating a bit more until being able to test this function.

I will get into your information link right now.
