The normal remove tag shortcut seems only to work in Editor. I am cleaning and editing my TM which was based on an aligned file but it won't let me save the changes on the segments which still have tags. There are too many tags to remove them manually. Can anyone tell me the way to do this?
A very easy way to "clean" your TM if you really don't want the tags in there is to use SDLTM Convert from the appstore:

It's a pretty old app but still one I use the most for quick export and clean up tasks:
You could also just export to TMX and then create new one and import as plain text in Studio.

..... I know.. there is no free lunch...(visited, says, 35 EU...)
and, TMX import as plain text... it just kills Tags - simply disappears.. from time to time it should be displayed its presence.
just like..
triangles and squares are Tags but now it is a plain text (I mean, not original Tags any more)
