TM export: .tmx export and custom fields

Question

Hello, 
 I regularly need to export my TM in a .tmx format for sharing with external shareholders. My TM uses custom fields. Some of these fields are only interesting for me and shouldn't be communicated externally. 
 Would it be possible to exclude these fields from the export file?

Hi 
 One way to do it is to have the TM listed on your translation memories page in Studio (to achieve this you need to have opened the TM via Open but it doesn't have to be open to perform the operation) then right click on it and select the following from the dropdown menu: 
 Export > Edit > Add > Field...

 If you do this regularly perhaps there are a few ways that might be useful: 
 
 use the SDLXLIFF2TMX app to convert your bilingual files to TMX instead of using your TM. That might be helpful if you do this on a project by project basis: https://appstore.sdl.com/language/app/sdlxliff2tmx/125/
