I am currently using Trados Studio 2019 SR 2 and I have also experienced this issue for quite a long time. I was wondering if any of you are able to solve this bugs?

This problem was first reported two years ago by Angelo Caltagirone and thereafter many others and seemingly there has been no follow-up on your side so far. This bug in tracked changes causes words to be deleted unintentionally during the editing process. The cursor jumps to the wrong place when you hit the delete button repeatedly and this happens rather frequently. I hope you will look into this matter seriously as it creates errors in our translation, which may have serious consequences if we do not spot them. Even if we spot the errors, it still wastes us time to correct them.

Could someone advice me what is the best way to have the RWS team fix a bug? or at least reply to a bug report? 

Sorry, I don't know what is happening here because most of the question are answered in a few days. Maybe Jerzy Czopik or Lydia Simplicio could help?

TBH I do not observe such behavior in the current version of Studio. It has indeed happened in the past with some previous versions, but so far did not happen in S2021. In S2021 only sometimes a problem appears, when you correct text directly after a placeholder tag. As this does not disturb my work much because of happening really rarely, I simply did not care about reporting.

Please check the latest version of Trados Studio to avoid this bug.

Thanks for your reply. I am currently using S2019 but not S2021, and the problem does happen quite often. Would RWS also fix this bug for older versions? 

Hi, does RWS still support S2019? S2019 is not a very old version and I don't see why RWS only fix the bug for S2021 but not S2019???

there are lots of other bugs with S2019, which are all quite annoying (e.g. can't properly display chinese characters, search function does not work properly at times). Would RWS care to take some actions to fix them?

..followd up a little bit more for this bug, but it's not my job, clearly.

usually "Tags"(including TrackChangeTags) has unique ID and TC Tags are not self closing tags.

this is under the hood of the bug.

It has two Unusual selfClosing tags - 2 of them. Cursor is forced return to the first of them from any where.

And, one of them has duplicated ID with below deleted TC tags - "a889741 bulah bulah"

It fixed. Self fixed out of blue. 

You can reproduce with easy.

Under TC status

1. hit "a" key anywhere  (no double quote of course)

2. hit "Delete" key

3. hit "Left arrow" (go back) key

4. hit "a" key

5. now go to anywhere (in the same segment) and hit "Delete" or "Backspace"

6. Tada
