I have this problem:
I upgraded to WIN 10 and my version of Microsoft Office is no longer compatible, so I would like to avoid buying the latest version.
I wanted to try Open Office and Libre Office. But the format in which the review file of SDL is created is not reconnignized...
I tried to modify the suffixe in the file name, but with no result...
Would have an idea?

Hello ,
Although Studio supports Open Office files, the Preview functionality relies on specific functionalities within Ms Office (that aren't available in these free tools).
Maybe other translators can provide more real life experience, but it is my understanding that Open Office/MS Office are not 100% compatible and that you may have issues trying to work with some MS Office documents in Open Office and vice versa.

The bilingual review files contain code which is specific to MS Word. You can't use OpenOffice or LibreOffice with these files.
If the source format is OpenOffice, you might be able to export the target and retrofit from reviewed target file - that should work, although I never tried it because I don't work with OpenOffice.
