Why can I only see some of the terms in my termbase but not others?

I have a large(ish) termbase created out of my own glossary for a large project to which I keep adding terms on the fly and sometimes these terms show in Term Recognition but not always.

There doesn't seem to be any pattern to this (sometimes newer terms show, sometimes only older terms show, sometimes nothing shows) so I can't work out what's going on here.

I'm working on Studio 2019 in Windows 10 and I have the Term repetition threshold set to the maximum value (20).

  • Thanks a lot for your explanation, Paul.

    After disabling the Lookahead option, I have noticed a newly-added term hasn't appeared in any of the subsequent segments (at least 15 of them) even when I closed Studio yesterday at the end of the working day and opened it again today.

    Someone else suggested reorganising the TB and I can confirm that this has worked for this particular term so I assume I will have to keep reorganising if I want to reuse my terms*.

    *I also tried to add the term as an Autotext entry (because it was a product name) and this didn't work either so I hope a solution can be found for this problem soon.

    One final question I have is whether it makes any difference if I add the term in the termbase in Multiterm Desktop directly?
