Searching... TM results not being retrieved

Question

For some time now I've had problems with Trados not retrieving TM results properly. When I do a concordance search for larger sections of the segment in question the results come up straight away. This seems to be a particular problem if the segment contains a number or other particular characteristics I've not yet managed to narrow down. Nothing happens, no matter how long I leave it for. My TMs are upgraded, Trados is up-to-date and I'm fed up with this slowing me down...

 Where are you storing the TM's? Locally or on the cloud? 
 Have you upgraded Studio and MultiTerm to the latest versions? 
 Have you whitelisted the applications in your AntiVirus exceptions list?
