Project templates : How to move from Studio 2017 to 2019

Hi Team,

I am a big fan of project templates. I started with Studio 2017 and when moving to 2019 I continued. Today I decided to update my templates so I went to set up / project templates and did the job. But then I discovered that all the templates were stored under Studio 2017. So I did a copy paste from 2017 to 2019/project template folder. All went fine except that upon opening the project creation view I do not get the new templates.

How can I tell Studio 2019 to look into the 2019 project templates folder ?

With kind regards, Manuella

One day later still no answer. Not nice ! I have tried  the import of a template but this also does NOT work.

To the question "How can I tell Studio 2019 to look into the 2019 project templates folder" the answer is that you have to click on 'browse' and then select manually the template.

Screenshot of Trados Studio Project Templates window showing a list of templates stored under Studio 2017 folder.

Screenshot of file explorer window with Trados Studio 2019 Project Templates folder open, displaying copied templates from 2017 to 2019 folder.

That is the only viable solution for time being as the view to the left of the browse button is based on the 2017 folder and does not "update" after having used a template of the 2019 folder.
