When I use "Pre-translate Files" in Batch Tasks, it doesn't always apply automated translation even though Apply automated translation is selected in both global settings AND project settings. And strangely enough, within the same document, it applies the automated translation to some fields and not to others...??? I've tried rebooting to no avail... Not sure if I should simply reinstall my Trados Studio 2017 Freelance or if there is something else that can be done. Thank you!
I've seen this issue before with certain MT providers. In my experience the built-in Google translation never had any problems but other third party plugins do. Would you be able to provide what MT provider you are using?
From my understanding, this happens because some third-party plug-ins are not implemented correctly.
Hi Jesse, I use SDL Machine Translation Cloud Provider. As Nora has showed me, if I disable my own TM, the problem is solved, but that's not really a solution. Plus, it used to work fine for years (with other TM as well), so I'm not sure what the problem really is. But in a way, as long as the 100% matches and fuzzy matches auto-populate, and they do, that's the main thing, so I'll just leave everything that way.
