Strange changes in Target Segments

Ohh ... Hello again Smiley ... before to go, I'd like to ask You something more ...

There was some strange (to me) behaviour of Trados during this translation. SORRY IF THIS IS TOO BASIC! Shame on me! Here is some screenshot.

1. After " ; " it should not be used a CAP letter. Trados always does this. How to fix this?

Screenshot showing Trados Studio's auto-capitalization after a semicolon, with 'Un pagamento' incorrectly starting with a capital 'U'.

2. Why Trados changes the way how number looks sometime? Do You see? Where are (), for instance?

Screenshot displaying Trados Studio's number formatting issue, where parentheses around a phone number are missing.

3. Maybe this is not possible but I am wondering, I know I can put comments in a translation and find them as comments in M.Word after exporting BUT ... is it possible to add streigth in Studio FOOT NOTES ???

THANK YOU
Pietro

    Perhaps disable this:

Trados Studio options menu showing AutoCorrect settings with 'Correct TWo INitial CApitals' option highlighted.

Or change your segmentation rules so you don't split sentences after a semi-colon.

    2. Why Trados changes the way how number looks sometime? Do You see? Where are (), for instance?

Trados Studio segment showing numbers with missing parentheses highlighted by blue underlines indicating recognition as separate numbers.

The blue underlines are the giveaway.  Studio picks these up as four different numbers and given you have clearly tried to "force" the TM to use something it doesn't want to at some point you are now getting fuzzy matches instead.  The best solution is to filter on these segments, copy source to target, then change status to translated and lock them.  Them filter on unlocked.

This way you won't have to worry about them at all.

    3. Maybe this is not possible but I am wondering, I know I can put comments in a translation and find them as comments in M.Word after exporting BUT ... is it possible to add streigth in Studio FOOT NOTES ???

    Yes.

But you can't add them as footnotes, only as comments.
