Further to previous post on verification problems 13 days ago ("Studio 2019 verification hangs [...],)I now believe that an incompatibility exists between Studio 2019 and Windows 10.1. The symptom emerged late last year when verification suddenly stopped behaving, and a file that might have taken 4 minutes to verify in the past suddenly started taking over 1.5 hours...
So long in fact that I had concluded in the last topic that it crashed Studio. I mentioned then that Windows was suspending the verification task to improve system performance. I have since discovered that this is not always the case -- however, even when it does not happen, verification takes an absurdly long time.
I now wonder whether the cause is that Studio is not properly telling Windows that the verification process is active -- As I understand it, at least in the case of suspension by Windows, Windows thinks nothing important is being done by the secondary process and that's why it suspends it...
Hope this is the right place to raise the issue, which is still making verification a nightmare, and that there is some hope of investigation/solution on the part of SDL
Cheers
