Why does it take up to 15 minutes to verify a 206 word Studio file?

Question

When I press F8, it takes forever to verify my files. Is that because I have too many TM activated. Cancelling also takes several minutes. Sometimes up to 10-20 min. 
 Has anybody else had this problem?

I got the answer to this issue in another post: turn off Grammar Checker options:

 Try and narrow down the source of the issue: 
 
 disable the TMs when you verify and see if this makes any difference 
 disable any plugins you have installed, or remove them altogether
