I have created a translation memory (w/ extension .sdltm), and imported the segments of an alignment to that translation memory.
I had created a .sdlalign file before.
Now I want to create a translation memory with a .tmx extension. I want to do that using the .sdlalign file. The only way to do that is exporting my .sdltm translation memory to a .tmx translation memory, isn't it?

That is not possible, you have to create the translation memory first.
