XLIFF file doesn't update on project

Hello!

I created a project and received back the translation as XLIFF files.

I saved the newer version in the same folder as the original files were created but it doesn't appear in the SDL project page.

I tried to delete the original files before saving the newer ones or rename the older to a different name before place the new ones but still can't see the translation. I also updated the software, restarted the computer, deleted the project and opened it again in different occasions. Nothing worked.

On the file property panel, by the bottom of the window, it still show me the date and time of the original file.

It is been happening for a while and the way I solved it was creating a new project - but this is not the right way to do it.

Can you please advise what should I do?

Put the files to the right place ;-)

Really, from your description it simply seems that you are putting the files to a completely different place than where the actual project is located.
Check the project properties, there you can see the project folder location - put the translated SDLXLIFFs to the appropriate target language subfolder in that location and then you simply MUST see the translations after opening the files from within Studio project.

Of course, all that only if the SDLXLIFFs you received are actually really translated! Could it be that they are simply NOT translated?

Oh, only now I see that you mention XLIFF file, not SDLXLIFF files!
If they are just generic XLIFFs, not Studio-specific SDLXLIFFs, you won't be able to see them in Studio using this way...
