Studio freezes when opening a sdlxliff file.

Someone sent me an sdlxliff file with the source text ready for translation. I started translating directly into this file with Studio 2019 SR2 - last update, using the "translate a single document" option. I finished the translation, saved everything etc. When I open Studio again I find the project and I have normal access to the editing section. But when I try to open this translated sdlxliff file via file manager by either double clicking or choosing "open with", Studio opens but freezes and I have to ctr/alt/delete in order to close Studio. However, the translation of the sdlxliff file, when saved, has generated a sdlproj file. When I click on this file in my file manager, Studio opens correctly and I have access to the sdlxliff source/target screen. This happened after downloading the latest update for Studio 2019. If I remember well, I was able to open sdlxliff files correctly before this upgrade. Now, when I try to open another sdlxliff file from a previous translation, Studio shows again the title of the sdlxliff file from the previous project and freezes. So Studio appears to be confused and keeps repeating the first mistake in a kind of loop. Apparently it has nothing to do with the language combination in the project settings > all language pairs. The language pair I worked in for this project is there. Can anyone help?
