Go to project settings, chose Lnaguage Pairs -> All language pairs (or the proper language pairs, depends on individual settings) -> Translation memory... Then mark the "Update" checkbox for both TMs listed there.

However doing so during the translation process is a bad idea. Much better is to update only your own TM, as you do NOT need to update the customers TM. It will NOT be send with the return package, so there is no necessity to update it.

As you see, only the first TM is updated during the translation process. This is my own TM.

Should you need to update more than one TM with your translation, you can:

• either use batch tasks and change the project settings accordingly before running the update task
• or simply import the translated SDLXLIFF file in ANY TM you wish at ANY time; the only culprit here is, that the SDLXLIFF file and the TM MUST have the same language pair and direction.
