I have this message when i try to align:
I did not align the document line by line i just clicked on align all and then clicked on the button go to, so that it takes me to the lines that are not confirmed or are incorrectly aligned, but nothing happens.
Could it be related to this issue?

I have a document to translate, and my employer gave me a reference document. This document does not reproduce entire segments but there are some terms that i need to get from there for example "my action plan" and others which have a specific translation for that client. That's wht i need to align the document i was given so that studio shows me how they were translated in that document, so i can put the same option. can I do that with alignment? or how do i do it?
That's what i need to do, use the same terms (even though the segments do not repeat literally, i just need the terms inside those segments). and i dont want to be using studio and going back to word (both versions orginal and translation) to see how the term was translated.
Can you help me or can anyone help me?
If you need just terms and not entire segments, then alignment is NOT going to help you.
Based on your rhetoric I'm assuming that you are not really experienced in working with Studio and advanced stuff like fragment matching, so for the sake of simplicity I would suggest to do exactly what you don't want to - lookup the terms directly in the document.
The preparation procedure required to set up TM and/or terminology would most probably require way more effort (and also errors due to inexperience) than just going the most obvious way...
