No projects shown in project list

Hallo,

for a few months now my projects keep disapearing from the project list in Trados Studio 2017. Whenever I close Trados they disapear and I have to open tem again to appear in the project list. It's not a matter of filter settings, I checked that already. I think there might be a problem with the root folder but I can't figur out what is wrong. De- and reinstalling Trados didn't help. I already searched the forum but coudn't find an answer for my problem. I work alone, no one else has access to my files and they are stored on my computer, no external hard drive.

Thank you in advance for every tipp or idea!

  • Hallo

This happens to me every now and then. However, my Studio projects are stored in a folder on my NAS (network added storage). Sometimes my computer needs some time to connect to my shared folders on my NAS. When I open Studio before the relevant folders on my NAS have been properly loaded (you can see this when the folders in Windows Explorer are marked with a red cross) Studio will just show an empty project list. So I need to wait until Windows has restored the connections to the shared folders in Windows Explorer (or I can go into Windows Explorer myself and click on the  relevant folders that will then load immediately).
I have read that you have your projects stored locally on your computer. So what happens, if you just try to go to the relevant folder in Windows Explorer first before launching Studio? Does this help?

    Best regards,
