Please try first to use View -> Reset window layout. If this won't help, check how to restore windows in Windows. You can also check this article https://gateway.rws.com/csm?id=kb_article_view&sysparm_article=KB0039395 to reset Studio, which might help.

I've tried all the solutions you suggested, but still no success.
As I wrote, a small 'Search' window appears in the background, but disappears again as soon as you click on it to enter a search word.
This is strange. I remember once having a similar situation and the only solution there was to contact SDL support in the end, as the problem was somewhere deep in Studio installation.
