Segmentation not working with some abbreviations

Hello,

I often have to translate sentences containing decree numbers. To avoid segmentation after Roman numbers followed by full stops (and numbers), I added all Roman numbers to the abbreviation list. In spite of this, a new segment is always started after every Roman numbers:

Is there any solution for this?

  • Have you just added numbers like I, IV and so on or did you enter I., IV., XI. and so on? In first case it will not work, the abbreviations in the list must be followed by a dot. And of course you have to recreate the sdlxliff file after adding the abbreviations to the list, as an already segmented file will not be resegmented just by amending the list.
