Hello,
Is there a way to
1. select and ignore/delete several messages (instead of ignoring/deleting them one by one),
2. customize the Messages window and display segment numbers?

Not yet, but you could support the corresponding idea: community.sdl.com/.../allow-selecting-multiple-qa-error-messages-in-the-messages-view-to-delete-those

I supported this idea.
Without these options, checking a long document is very very painful.
Yes, you are completely right. And this is not since yesterday or 2017 so - but even then, the idea is 3 years old now and should go from "Community review" at least to Kindergarden, to get then mature enough for production :)

Segment numbers are displayed in the Verify Reports view... bit of a workaround I know but perhaps still useful?

How can I activate the Verify Reports view?
Same as other reports. For this you must first run the batch task "verify", which is executed when files are closed. Then you you get a report, can save it, open files and then either once again run verification and compare with the report or use the report to locate the errors manually... Dear Paul, sorry - this is perfect for a workaround for someone using Studio for play or maybe research & development, but when translating there is no time for playing games...

I totally agree Jerzy... just thought it would be helpful in the meantime especially since the segment numbers are clickable and will go to the segment.

Hi Paul
Yes, theoretically. From what I remember, you can click the segment number in the reports view, but this switches between Editor and Reports view... Not really practicable, provided it takes quite a time, when your files are bigger - and if there are such problems like here, the files ARE bigger. In small files the QA goes fast and with some 20 messages of a kind or so the problem is minor. But if your QA reports hundreds or thousands of errors, 80-90% of there just false positives or - like in case of different punctuation - often on purpose, the situation is a very different one.

As I said Jerzy... I'm looking for solutions to try and help since the requested feature is not available. I'm not looking for problems as I already know what these are!
You could also double click the first message and work through them in the QA window that comes up. If you haven't used that before (Sandor not Jerzy) then perhaps this could also help you.

Sorry, Paul. I tend to forget, that you know Studio very well. Sometimes you really surprise me with a point of view I would expect from translator's side, not the vendors side. Would SDL pay more attention to what you say, the tool would become better in shortest time and might overtake the competitors for light years.
