My computer experienced an unrelated crash yesterday. After starting Studio today, I discovered that a huge project I have been working on for a month now was gone from the project list. Upon reopening the sdlproj file from the Projects folder, it shows a message "An error occured whilst trying to determine the file version". Is there any way to recover from that?
The easiest way to resolve this is to back up the project somewhere safe and then remove it. No recreate the project again, and once done copy the target language SDLXLIFF files from your backed up project over the top of your new ones. All being well you'll now be back to exactly where you were with a working project.

Thank you very much. Recreating the project helped. However, the cliff file I was working on at the time was corrupted, so I copied the TM files over and then all the segments got populated.
