Hello everybody,
I would appreciate if someone could help me with this issue. When I create or open a project, I keep obtaining an error message:
The translation memory 'XXXX' could not be found. Click OK to specify its location, or Cancel to disable this translation memory.
Since I can't find the file, I click Cancel but it doesn't seem to work, because the error message appears again and again.
So I can't work in Trados (2017 Freelance version) at all.

It sounds as though you have got references to TMs in your File -> Options or your default template. I suggest you check and if you have just remove them.
Perhaps you added them while learning how to use the product and then deleted them in File Explorer, so now Studio has no idea what happened to them.
