When I received an edited sdlxliff file with track-changes from the editor, I used it to replace the original file in my project. When the file was finalized, I was not able to save the target file using Shift+F12 or Save as. When I try, I get the error "Failed to save target content: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\Alaa\AppData\Local\Temp\SDL_Wizard_Project_xxx..\en-US\<filename>'.

Indeed, when I checked the Temp folder, I did not find the subfolder SDL_Wizard_Project... under it.

This is a recurrent problem. Last time it happened, I used the final sdlxliff to update the TM, then I restarted the project from scratch and repopulated the file using the updated TM. Which is what I might have to do again now. However, this is not sustainable on the long run.
