does anyone know how I can solve this? Very annoying when you have not set any of your translations memories to US English and yet the Autocorrect will not let you set itself to UK English.
This is just the default display and doesn't dictate the language that is being used. The language being used will be determined by the languages in your project... so don't worry about this. The values you use for UK English will be used.
