Is there some way to force match-repair to handle multiple words?
It is well known that the German language often has a single long word for multiple English words. Unfortunately, match-repair does to handle this situation; only the last word of a multiple term is match-repaired. For example, "Arbeitsplan" -> work plan is match-repaired for "Objekt" to work object. Can this behaviour be "corrected"?
BTW. The term "Arbeitsplan" is present as "work plan" in the TB, so Studio knows multiple words are involved.

The short answer is no as there are no mechanisms for forcing match repair to behave in any particular way. It makes decisions based on its own algorithms for determining the likelihood of a repair being the right one. Sometimes it's right, sometimes it's not.
If you have multiple termbases present you could try and make sure that the one with the correct term is the default, but this may not help either.

Thanks Paul for the feedback. But as an “outsider” analysing the situation, the algorithm can only know which target term needs to be replaced by matching the original source term with its associated target term, this means the algorithm must know (via the TB) that the target term involves multiple words in this case.
