Project template created from existing project doesn't contain any TMs whatsoever

Dear SDL Community,

I created a project template from an existing project with a dozen language pairs and was surprised that only the language pairs themselves are transferred. Not the TMs itself, nor any of the custom filter, penalty or search settings.

Screenshot of Trados Studio showing a list of language pairs in a project template without the associated translation memories or custom settings.

Unless I'm missing something, I find this quite contraintuitive, since the purpose of a template is to save time. But if I have to add TMs and adjust settings for all language pairs again, that sounds like a lot of extra work. Obviously you could start by creating a project template before creating your first project, but I fail to see why it wouldn't be possible to transfer the TM information and the TM settings from an SDLPROJ file to an SDLTPL file.

Any feedback would be appreciated to get to the bottom of this.

Kind regards,

Bart Van Maele
