When I use "Find Next" to find the next occurrence of something I want to edit, the cursor doesn't move with my view. So say I put my cursor in segment 1, and I use "Find Next" and it finds something I want to edit in segment 8294. It even highlights the occurrence. But my cursor stays in segment 1. So if I now type anything, the view snaps back to segment 1.

I searched and this has been a problem since at least 3 years ago. What's happening? What's the rationale for not moving the cursor? I would consider this a very basic and obvious behavior for any software that edits text and provides a find feature.

Any possibility of actually seeing this changed before I retire?
