Working in a network environment (with server-based TMs on GroupShare) we come across a TU several times in our corporate translation team. We currently check TUs every time we take over our translations or the translations of a peer translator which leads to "overchecking" a TU. But we do this checking as an extra quality assurance measure since we assume the responsibility for our translations in each case on the assumption that nobody is perfect (we are human and can make mistakes) and the colleague originally translating the segment might have made some mistakes. BUT, if we could set a certain status / score? marking the TU as checked / approved (or smth similar) after the first use/check thus signaling the next translator using the translation that the TU is safe to be taken over without checking we could save some time and effort. Is this something SDL has thought about / been approached about by others?
