QA Checker not behaving as expected when using a Project Template (Studio 2019)

Hello,

This question concerns the four QA Checker categories that appear both in Project Settings > Verification > QA Checker 3.0 and in Project Settings > Language Pairs > [Specific Language Pair] > Verification > QA Checker, i.e.:

  • Punctuation
  • Numbers
  • Word List
  • Regular Expressions

When using a Project Template, in order for the settings in the above four categories to work correctly, I have to configure them under the specific language pair. Configuring them in Project Settings > Verification > QA Checker 3.0 doesn't work. From what I've read and been told elsewhere, I don't think this is expected behaviour. Can anyone confirm that?

Note: I'm using Studio 2019, and my projects only ever contain 1 language pair. Also, please note I'm not talking about the same four QA settings under Options - I understand that those will only apply to new projects that I set up using the default project template.

Thanks,

Hayley
