Analysis issues on a specific computer

Hi,

We have recently started having issues on a specific computer with analysing projects with multiple TMs in Studio Pro 2017.

On that computer, Studio does not seem to take into account a second (server-based) TM (which is not a project TM) and therefore does not show up any matches from that TM.

It does not seem to have anything to do with the project settings. When we create the project on a different computer, all is fine. However, if we then open and analysis this project (saved on a server) on the computer having the issue, the analysis statistics are incorrect again.

I have no idea where I should start looking to resolve this. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks,
Lieven

  • Hello ,

It might be helpful if you listed the specs of the PC's (OS etc) along with information such as whether both PC's are connected to the domain/VPN etc.

Also screenshots of the project settings could be useful along with the specific languages used.

The more info you can provide, the easier it might be to recognise the issue.

  • Hi Steven,

    Thanks for the reply.

It seems that we have solved the issue in the meantime. Apparently the latest Studio 2017 update(s) hadn't been installed on that machine yet. I've asked my colleague this morning to install the latest update and we now get the same analysis results in a test project with a similar set-up (i.e. multiple TMs) as the previous ones showing inconsistent analysis results.

Just for your information: the computers are both Dell computers running Windows 10 Pro and are on the same domain. The file-based TMs are stored on a server. Apart from the inconsistent analysis results, we also noticed that when a project with multiple TMs was created on that computer, the TMs were not getting updated during review on another computer, although Update had been ticked. We had to remove and add the TMs again on another computer.

Anyhow... the problem seems to have been resolved.

Many thanks again for your reply.

    Regards,
    Lieven
