SDL Studio 2019 won't start. Persistent "There was a connection timeout error. Please check your network and internet connections."

Today when starting Studio 2019 as usual, Studio just gets stuck on the splash screen and returns the error "There was a connection timeout error. Please check your network and internet connections." My internet connection is fully functional. All other applications work fine. I have restarted my machine multiple times, performed multiple clean installs, run the SDL Freshstart app -- all to no avail. I'm at a complete loss and in danger of missing a deadline. Please help. This has happened to two of our colleagues this morning. There may be a connection to ongoing maintenance of the SDL Language Cloud servers this weekend. One of our colleagues was able to resolve this be removing LanguageCloudMachineTranslation.bin.
Obviously I cannot guarantee if this works, and whether removing that binary file will have any unintended consequences - so make sure you just move it (not delete it altogether).

Looks like this only affects Freelance installations - my Studio Pro is working flawlessly (but then we run our own licence server).

My request to SDL: can you please check and investigate? Thanks.

Any tips about where it is? (Trados 2021 here)

It's here... but I'm not confident this will resolve your problem:

c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\Studio16\LanguageCloudMachineTranslation.bin

It's worth trying given it seems to have worked for a couple of users here, but I also have this same problem and renaming/deleting this file doesn't do it for me. I don't have Freelance, but I 'm also not using a licence server so have the same activation mechanism as a Freelance activation code.

Let me know if it works for you...very interested in this.
