Hello. I was hoping sb could help. I have a bilingual document (which I save in pdf but it was originally sent to me as .docx.txfl). I just need to edit it, but when I tried to open it in Trados just as a normal document as I usually do, I could then only see the ST.
Could anybody pls help?

This is a Wordfast XLIFF. All you ned to do is add *.txfl to the file dialog wildcard expression and then Studio will open it as an xliff. Discussed here with a nice image:
But don't use the PDF!

Yes... you are either doing something wrong or there is a problem with the file. It might help if you explained exactly what you did and then we might be able to spot where your problem is?

I added the extension as you suggested, went to browse, selected my document and tried the preview. i could see the document, but only the ST was shown... on BOTH sides....
And are you sure that this xliff file contains the translated text already? What were you expecting to see?

yes, cause I can open the file in word easily and I can physically see both the ST and the TT.

It appears you have been sent a Word file for review in Word. The file you have received cannot be handled in Studio at all, at least not without a hell of a lot of messing around. You should ask your client for the TXLF file and then you could use Studio.
