We don't... none of that information is mandatory. I think some of the profile information is just the default being part of a community thing. The public email refers to an email address others can see if we enabled the ability for this to be used. However, we have not. The new version of the communities we are moving to this year does not have this concept at all and you only have a private email by default and you can decide whether you wish to share it or not.
