Most likely you're working with a nice machine using a high DPI. Studio is a work in progress for supporting high resolutions correctly so some parts look fine, and others can be so small they're difficult to work with.
There is an application on the appstore that can usually resolve this for you... it's reversible so worth trying!

Hello, Paul. I installed ChangeScalingBehavior.1.0.2.0 and it improved things... a bit. Thanks for the tip!
Are there any other options to make menus even bigger? Any plans to improve/allow customization of menu and icon sizes soon? Interface operability and clarity are major factors for me in software choice.
Warm regards,
Jaime

I'm afraid not... other than changing the resolution on your computer in general.

I'm not aware of any plans to allow customisation, but there are ongoing activities with regard to improving the support for high resolution screens so eventually everything should be better.

Thanks. I believe this is a very necessary improvement that would be very welcome. It is an access issue as well. The implementation of a modular, customization approach to menus shouldn't be too taxing, considering similar approaches already available. I send you a friendly nudge of encouragement!
If it is was as easy as that I assure you that the development team would have done this by now. It is a work in progress to ensure better support for these types of screens.
Certainly we all want this!

Bon courage ! Onwards! ¡Ánimo!
Thanks for your note. I realize how complex these issues are.
I interpret sometimes for a company that develops software for mining. These guys have to develop interfaces for incredibly complex, taxing tasks and environments.Their customization features are surreal, including ergonomics, readability, optimization and I don't know how many other fancy and useful user-friendly adaptations. Truly impressive.
We spend so many hours in front of the screen that reading functionality is on the top of mine and many of my colleagues improvements list. Just like yours. So I renew my cheers for a successful and prompt solution.
Regards,
Jaime
It is worth noting that on a 4K monitor, enabling High DPI scaling Override in the application properties settings addresses the UI scaling in a way that is superior to the ChangeScalingBehavior tweak.
However, it also causes popup windows (like file pretranslation) to become oversized to the point of unusability, and causes file preview exports for Excel, Word, etc. to come out miniaturized and nonfunctional.
Selectively applying Windows' native scaling capabilities for High DPI to the primary Trados UI, but not these auxiliary interfaces, would go a long way towards addressing the issue.
Affected UI On a 4K Monitor with DPI scaling override enabled:

thanks. I'll look into this, my technical proves is limited. It looks promising. It would be very helpful if SDL or a third party were to develop some macros or similar approaches to automatize these tasks so one clic does it. SDL or third party.
Much appreciated!
