I also have this from time to time, and I don't know why, but I think Studio has a funny way of addressing the function keys. This will righten itself again without you having to do anything, but for the time being I would just copy and paste into the concordance field and then press the "search source" button.

I never had this last for very long. Just a few minutes, then it was fine again.

well, thanks a lot for this tip, because thanks to it, i figured out the actual problem I am having. The concordance search does work properly, the concordance search screen does not alternate between the Automated Translation (API) screen. So that means I have completely another problem. How can I make sure the concordance search screen pops up on top when I do F3 Concordance search?

Oh, you can customize the windows layout. I also want to see both TM results and concordance as well as fragment matches. This is how I arranged my screen (see screenshot below):

1. TM results
2. Concordance
3. Fragment matches
4. Termbase stuff
5. Translation editor

Thanks for your help! I've solved the issue thanks to the Studio documentation you have shared. 

I just selected View > Reset Window Layout from the Ribbon, and voila! Everything is back to as they were, the TM results and Concordance search screen alternate when I need them.
