"Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation." when trying to access Project Settings

Hi everyone,

I have been having an issue with Studio for the last two days, basically since I installed the last update. The whole app works fine, except that I can’t access the Project Settings. Whenever I try, I get this infamous error message: "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation."

My version of Studio is up-to-date, so is Windows. I’ve uninstalled Studio, reinstalled it, uninstalled it again to install a previous version, updated it again. Nothings seems to make any difference whatsoever.

It would be worth trying a reset (this is not the same as just reinstalling). Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio:

c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15.0.0.0

So the path would become this:

c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15.0.0.0_old

If you can't find this folder then you need to unhide your hidden files/folders:

www.howtogeek.com/.../

Hi Paul, I have the same issue. I've checked and I have 'hidden files' checked, but cannot locate that folder. Does this look right for the folder name, please?: c:\Users\delai\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\15.0.0.0
I was trying to access Project Settings because Language Cloud results are not showing (it says 'searching'). Thanks very much!
