I am a freelance translator, I am checking out sdl trados. Here I have some questions:
1, In order to use it, should I buy the desktop app? Is there a way that I can use it online like other CAT tools, such as CrownIn...?
2, Is there any written tutorial for beginners to learn how to use it? I saw some videos on this site, I just wonder if there is any written version. For me, reading is more faster than watching.

SDL Trados Studio 2019 is indeed a desktop app-
However you can use the new version Studio 2021 either as a desktop application or in the cloud
