Problem with Studio 2021 Professional and publishing projects to GroupShare 2015

I seem to be having a problem with publishing projects from my brand new SDL Trados Studio 2021 Professional to our GroupShare 2015.

I can open GS projects just fine, I can check files in and out. Just when I try to publish a new project created in Studio 2021 Professional I get an error, stating that the "IsCloudBased" attribute is now allowed (the project is a local one, not a cloud based one).

I understand this might be a bug concerning the use of an attribute unrecognized by older GS versions? If so, when will it be corrected, as this has completely rendered my GS 2015 inoperable, and our linguists, starting from Monday, will be unable to work on new assignments created using this new Studio 2021 Professional?

I understand I might be the first person to report this, as I suppose not many agencies use GS 2015 in combination with Studio 2021...

  • I see, I was not made aware of this prior to the purchase - unfortunately, GS17 or 20 costs at least twice as much as our GS2015 license, so I will just have to stay with Studio 2019 for the years to come. An upgrade would cost more than a new family car (and I know -- I asked about it...), so the price policy for new GS versions is not very reasonable for markets like Poland, where we operate (especially during a COVID-19 pandemic, with the whole industry in our country feeling the decline very strongly).

Tough luck, it seems Studio 2019 will be with us for much longer than previously anticipated :). Good that I didn't upgrade my 2019 Professional license...

    Thank you for your replies!
