Source Editing & Merge must be default

Question

in every file, I am opening Project setting and click allow editing and merging, 
 Why is this so ? 
 Could't it be always checked?

 Try creating your project, clicking these options as you go, and at the very end check the box that says update your project template. If you update your template with this setting checked then the next time you use the template it'll be checked automatically.
