Hopefully we'll be able to sort out whatever is causing the problem quickly.

My soloution to same problem is to disconnect any VPN-connection.

Thanks for the advice. Could you explain how to do that? Also, do you have to do it in both Studio and Multiterm?

Hello Toby Price ,

You should be able to turn off the VPN services via 

Windows Control Panel- Network and Sharing Centre-

For example, you should see both your wireless/wired connection and the VPN that you are using -

Now restart Studio/MultiTerm and the problem should be resolved.

If not- p;lease make sure that you add both Studio and MultiTerm to your AntiVirus 'exceptions list' and then restart your PC.

TIP.

Its always best to start a new thread, when the thread is already a few weeks old as otherwise your questions/response maybe missed.

Have actually been through Support for several months and they did an exhaustive study of my case but were unable to come up with a solution, other than trying to reinstall Windows.

I only repicked up this thread after Morgan gave his suggestion about the VPN (see above). I do not wish to open a new ticket at this time.
