How to utilize the past translation

Question

Fist step: Allow me to have too easy question: How do I make the past translation future translation memory? Say, I imported a word file about surfing and translated it, I then want to translate about skateboarding, using and calling the surfing translation as TM. How can I do this? Thank you.

 When you translated your word file about surfing, did you add the translated segments to a translation memory? Utilizing past translations is exactly what a translation memory is designed for, so you will need to describe in more detail what you don't understand.
