Hello,
I am trying to find out how to convert a tmx file to an XLIFF file. My tmx file is from Trados Freelance Studio 7. I have other versions, but still prefer the old platform to others.
I am thinking that the tmx file is pretty much the same as an XLIFF file, or that the unclean BAK file might be, but my client wants an XLIFF file.
I would really appreciate any help you can give me!!

I'm going to assume you actually mean this:
SDL Trados 2007
There is no such product with the name you have used, but as you said you prefer the old platform I'll assume that's what you mean. On this basis you won't have access to any apps that might be available to you in Trados Studio.

On this basis I'm assuming you don't mean SDLXLIFF. So perhaps the way to go is use this tool:

I have no idea how good this is but it might help you.

Thank you, yes, I am using SDL Trados 2007. Yes, I don't mean SDLXLIFF. My client uses their own proprietary CAT. We can translate the files using our own CAT, but they want an XLIFF file on delivery. I actually think the old BAK file is an XLIFF, but I have not way of verifying that.
