Hello!
At the last Roadshow I attended, I think someone mentioned that there is now a keyboard shortcut for changing all segments to translated. However, I can't find this in the keyboard shortcut list. If this magical new shortcut does exist, could someone tell me what it is?

Then it is possible to do it directly with some limitations (so selecting all segment and changing status in a single shortcut isn't possible). This was originally done some time ago so I think we'll revisit this and see whether we are able to improve the way it works now as we do have improved APIs since this was originally developed.
It's probably possible using AutoHotkey too... so worth checking this forum:

Please do NOT provide any shortcut to change the status of all segments to translated. There are far too many users, for whom this happened with empty segments... Changing the status of segments to translated is–if desired–a means of seconds, there is no need to change that.

Why not? There are users of this app already who want this sort of thing... Emma Goldsmith is a good example. Not doing something because you have seen a few users having problems already is not a reason to make this possible on purpose with a plugin. Rather we should try to learn what's causing the current problem you are seeing and fix it. In fact if it can be done on purpose then maybe we already have a solution for those who want it and nobody realised!

An extra app is more than fine. Having this in main program causes problems. At least IMO the problem is, that such actions are very often caused accidentally and the user starts to moan everywhere. When he/she does this, dozens of other users jump on and start moaning about Studio with no real reason. This is why I would avoid having this as default shortcut in the main app. If this is possible, but must be extra activated, things are fine.
