I have just tried to use the 'preview' option in Trados only to find that the Word file which comes up is in protected mode and I can't seem to get rid of it. I have unticked the options under Trust Centre Settings - Protected View but it hasn't helped. This means I can see the target Word file but whereas I used to be able to edit it (and these take effect in the Trados file too), this is no longer the case. I am using Microsoft 365.
Please help...

did you open the word source file before creating the project in Trados Studio?
No, I don't think I did but not sure I've had to do that before?
It appens to me in the past.
Try, if you can, to open the word source file, click on the button of the message and save it. Then create a new project and preview should be ok.
Still the same problem I'm afraid :( It still says 'Restrict Editing' in the side bar to the right in Word when I try to make any edits.
I have done exactly what you suggested today on a completely new file. Opened the Word files and saving, before I started creating the Trados project but the Review function is still not working properly. I don't use the function often but it is useful when needed. Now, it just isn't working :(
