I'm facing the same problem when I try to create a project on SDL Studio 2021 using mif 2019 files. Could you guide me through the possible solution?

This is a major problem for my department since most files we receive are mif 2019, and I have other 5 translators using Studio 2021. It was pure luck we were left with one 2019 license yet to be updated. So, now I have only one computer able to create projects, and this is affecting tremendously our productivity in general. 

I'd appreciate any help you or other member of the community can provide.

The solution proposed was to disable the new MIF v2 filetype before creating the project so you force the use of the old one.  We don't seem to know if this worked for this user or not.  Please try that and let us know if it helps.
