Hi, I'm a Studio 2017 user who's never used the Align Doc function. I translated a Word file with Studio 2017 and then revised the target file in Word. I now need to incorporate the revised target file into the .xliff file created initially, aligning it with the original source file and updating the TM. Thank you for your help, Nic
There have been changes in more recent versions, but I think the overview and video in particular here might help you to get started. It's based on Studio 2014 but I know many users found it helpful:

This would be a classic use case for retrofit:
I am not sure whether 2017 has this functionality, and it will only work if the edits are slight. (No paragraphs added etc.) You align target language (old) and target language (revised), the aligning function has a much better chance of getting it right without manual corrections.
Otherwise the normal alignment, as Paul pointed out, will also work, of course.
