If I want a specific L1 term to be translated within a range of only two L2 terms, is it possible that if the L1 term is translated in a different word other than those two specified to get a warning message?

I don't really understand what yo mean by L1 and L2... but I think you're referring to the verification options. At least these are the only options you have for this sort of thing:

Also note that if you have existing projects you will need to do this via your project settings for each one.
