There is an SDL Support team who are available to help you if you have a support contract, or if your have licensing or installation issues.
If there are problems in the software that cause your translation memories to become corrupt then I'm sure they will help with that too so we can correct the problem in the software. However, before we get to that stage we need to find out a little more about your way of working because this is not a problem that is likely to occur without any reason at all.
So please can you provide some more information:
That sort of information would be a good start.

Dear Paul,
Thank you for coming back to me so quickly. I appreciate it.
1/ My version is : - SDL Trados Studio 2019 Freelance Plus (Is this enough for you to know ?)
2/ All my translation memories are stored together on the internal disc of my computer, at the same place where they were initially created, years ago when I started with SDL. I never moved them from location. They worked fine during the entire 2017 version. The situation immediately changed with the 2019 update.
3/ I have never shared my memories with anyone.
4/ One memory became corrupt without any (apparent for me) reason. Then one month later another memory was giving the following message : "Database disk image is malformed" (yesterday) and (today) its says "memory is corrupt".
I have used your SDL repair tool, but in vain.
Thanks for your help,
If you have other questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Greetings from Belgium
Angelo
Thank you. I need your version number for Studio. It should be something like this:
SDL Trados Studio 2019 SR2 - 15.2.7.2849
SDL MultiTerm 2019 - 15.0.6.56482
Can you tell me if you do use something like OneDrive or Dropbox? These are on your local drive but they synch all the time over the internet and this can be a problem.
Have you tried a complete reinstall/reset and ensuring you have recreated your templates in the new version as opposed to importing them from older versions?

Dear Paul, I am very very sorry but i looked everywhere in my account, account details, personal details, licences, products, and I do not find such number that you require. However, if you can give some clues of where I should go to find it I will be glad to keep on searching. Yes I have OneDrive, however I never use it with TARADOS files. Only word documents. A complete reinstall you say ... if it is really necessary I will do it... but it took me ages to parameter and configure your (so complicated) program so if i can avoid it... Also I am not sure to understand when you speak about creating new templates, templates of ???? can you be more specific.
Thank a lot
angelo

Please go to Help -> About SDL Trados Studio in Trados Studio and you'll see it there. You also see it every time Studio/MultiTerm start in the splash screen. This is th specific version number you have installed.

ok. So you are sure that your project files are not saved in there as well? For example, the default location for projects is here:
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Studio 2019\Projects\
So unless you specifically excluded this from your OneDrive setup it's highly likely they are being included. Same goes for Translation Memories where the default is here:
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Studio 2019\Translation Memories\
This is important to be clear about.
A complete reinstall you say ... if it is really necessary I will do i
Well... let's address the points above first and see if we can resolve a few problems there.

dear Paul. Thanks to your more precise explanation, I immediately found the number required by you : it is SDL Trados Studio 2019 SR2 - 15.2.7.2849. For your point 2, I am not able to fully understand what you are referring to. My memories are always nicely located where they were created years ago and I never moved them from there. When I create a new project, it goes automatically on my interdal disk on my computer. Do you want me to go and have a look anywhere else on the could .. i will be glad to do so .. but ... why ? suddenly ?
ok - so you are on the latest version which is good. Thank you.
On my second point. Let's consider this... how do you know that the only files you save in OneDrive are Word files? Please can you share the path to your Studio projects and also to your translation memories?

Ok Paul, is this what you would like : C:\Users\Angelo\Documents\Studio 2019\Projects ?
C:\Users\Angelo\Documents\Studio 2017\Translation Memories
ok - thank you. So assuming this definitely means you don't have these on OneDrive let's think about what could cause a TM to become corrupted. Can you check your security software, so anti-virus for example, and see whether it's whitelisted your Studio files? It could be that an aggressive anti-virus is affecting these resources as you work. I think t's worth investigating because the problems you describe are not normal.
